Legal
Terms of Service
1. Agreement Scope
These Terms of Service govern the legally binding relationship between the user of the platform and Career Maker, the owner and operator of CipherIQ in the Kingdom of Bahrain. By accessing, evaluating, purchasing, or using CipherIQ, the customer agrees to these terms and acknowledges that the platform is provided as enterprise recruitment software for lawful hiring, screening, and workflow management.
2. Merchant of Record
Paddle.com serves as our authorized online reseller and Merchant of Record for subscriptions purchased through supported commercial checkout flows. Paddle is responsible for billing operations, tax handling, invoice delivery, payment collection, subscription renewals, and related merchant-of-record duties. Questions relating to card payments, billing events, taxes, and customer portal changes may therefore be handled by Paddle as part of the subscription transaction lifecycle.
3. Human-in-the-Loop
CipherIQ is a decision-support system. Any scores, rankings, summaries, risk indicators, interview outputs, or screening recommendations generated by the platform are advisory in nature only. CipherIQ does not make final employment, hiring, firing, promotion, compensation, or rejection decisions. The employer remains 100% responsible for reviewing the relevant information, applying its own policies, and making all final human decisions concerning candidates or employees.
4. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Career Maker disclaims liability for hiring outcomes, candidate suitability, employee performance, workplace disputes, compliance failures caused by customer misuse, or downstream business decisions made by employers using the platform. The employer assumes full responsibility for how CipherIQ outputs are interpreted, documented, and applied in real-world employment decisions.
5. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and any disputes arising from or relating to the platform shall be subject to the competent jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
